By writing this blog on this topic, I am just trying to be my authentic self. Exercise is one of the only few habits I have been consistent with for more than 15 years, and have reaped the benefits of it in the form of good health and a resilient mind. In my opinion,
"Exercise is the elixir of a good health, mind and body"
For a few years, I try to keep a track of my workout routine on google calendar. The motivation behind this resolution is to:
Some of the routines that I do can be found on this Exercise link. Sharing this link so that if anyone reads this, can benefit from it. I have benefited from this playlist for years (10 years and more for some of the routines). And I want to share this blog so that others who can relate to my form of fitness can benefit from this as well.
- keep fit
- increase determination
- have better emotional well being
- be accountable to my health
I am a busy mom who is a self-proclaimed workaholic! I believe a holistic way of living life keeps one sane.

My exercise experience:
I don't like to stick to the same form of exercise, instead, I prefer variety ranging from jump-roping, Cardio, Zumba, jogging, simple aerobics, and just dancing. Exercise should not be cumbersome, in my opinion. Instead, it should be fun and aligned to the mood of the day, in my point of view( celebrities and athletes would disagree as for them it is their profession)
- When I am tired, I sometimes pick up an easy walking routine from this Exercise playlist. It's more like a warm-up and it is easy.
- Sometimes, when I am more motivated, I go for intense cardio.
- When I'm feeling outdoorsy, I go out for a jog or biking,
- When you really need to catch up on the episode, and you don't have time, jump-roping with the screen solves the problem.
Last but not least, exercise is an awesome family activity that can be done together. I have enjoyed both the above indoor and outdoor options with my family. It translates into a fantastic, productive, and healthy family time and adds more invaluable memories.
So, in the age of technology addiction, exercising seems to be a fun habit to develop early on.
