True friends are much more valuable than all the wealth of the world. People who genuinely care, are rare and few. So what are the qualities of a good friend? A good friend understands, listens, helps, and provides feedback, almost unconditionally.
What are the characteristics of a good friend? These opinions are mine, and I might have picked up a few from reading books.
Here are some friendship qualities:
-A person who likes you for who you are and NOT what you do. Liking someone for their nature, behavior, and their disposition with you, rather than creating a friendship only because there might be something to gain out of the relationship. The latter could probably be within the domain of networking, but not friendship.
-Someone who uplifts you. Someone who does not tear you apart.
-It cannot be one-way traffic. Both parties are equally invested in the friendship.
-Both play at the same level. One cannot afford to have a superior or inferiority complex in a friendship.
-Someone who respects your privacy.
-Someone who is there with/for you when you are in need.
A movie that represents friendship beautifully is - Charlotte's Web. This movie is a good watch for everyone, young and adults alike. It is based on the book Charlottes Web written by Garth Williams.
