What is success? One of the definitions of success is the attainment of a goal or purpose. We all have goals, we all have things we want to do, we all have aims, dreams, and aspirations. And this post is for anyone who is working towards their dreams, no matter how little or big. Success is a process. It does not happen overnight. If you analyze the lives of folks who have 'made it', they have all spent more than a minimum of ten years to reach their destinations. Through this blog, I am sharing a few tips that I have researched and picked up from various reading materials and interviews. They are the key and common traits that I came across in various interviews and books, and life in general.
Confidence and communication is the most important skill to have. Practice is one of the most important sources of both confidence and communication. A quick observation will indicate that most successful people in the C-level suite are also great communicators, and very confident in public speaking. This is a skill that can be picked up by practice, just like most other skills. However, for those who are like me for whom public speaking does not come naturally, it is not easy and involves a lot of practice and hard work.
Follow your passion - Be passionate about your work & have fun. Make authentic work choices if you can, those that make you feel true to yourself. Learning the skill is the first step.
The legendary investor Warren Buffet advises following your passion. He credits his success to knowing what he loved doing from a very early age. Apply what's within you. Know your Strengths. Focus on your INTUITION. Trying to be true to yourself most definitely is a good idea, and a good investment in yourself, instead of taking up whatever comes your way. However, it is also true that not many of us have the luxury to invest in ourselves, owing to loans and other obligations, and get caught up in the bandwagon. Have an undivided focus and concentration to become more knowledgable in your area of interest,
If you believe in something truly, and work for it, you will most likely achieve it sooner or later. Hard work does pay off, almost always. Have a single-minded focus on the goal. Do not doubt, just continue to make progress. Persist.
Destiny and hard work go hand in hand. Stepping out of your comfort zone at times within agreeable limits to experience, learn, and get more opportunities pays off occasionally. However, saying 'No' to things that are not agreeable to your priorities and your personality is a good idea instead of regretting the decision later in life. So, recognize opportunities, seize the day, and work hard.
Mentor - Have a good mentor. At the same time be willing to coach or mentor others.
Social Circle - There are chances people closest to you might turn out to be your biggest blockers. DO NOT give power to the mistakes of the PAST. Get away from the people who will tear you down. Be around people who uplift you. It is better to surround yourself with people who are positive, who would uplift you. However, it is very important to be respectful and civil to everyone. In fact not being respectful has cost people their careers. Be there for these people.
Mistakes - Do not repeat the same mistakes.
Be Positive - Be positive. Be Proud of your work. There will be struggle always. No one is a born genius. Just MOVE FORWARD; keep CHALLENGING yourself. Growth is important either in rank or learning. Even when things don't look good, it's important to keep learning, upskill, and being updated with the latest and the greatest in your area of work.
Peace/Fun/ Relax- Find time to relax when you can, as ultimately it is one life and a short one. It's not worth stressing, hustling, and scrambling all the time. Make time for fun, hobbies, friends, things that you love doing. Aim to be as calm as possible. Many attribute their emotional wellness to meditation.
- Do big things in small, minuscule chunks and keep making progress. Here is a post about productivity that you might want to read.
- Create Value/Achieve - Focus on results. Your work must be achievable and believable by you. DO it, and not think about doing it. Karma ( just do it)
- Be extremely competent in your skills. Only practice can help with competency. Not being comfortable and pushing your limits is also important for consistent improvement.
- Work with excellence.

Integrity - It's not worth chasing at the cost of integrity, say many of the ones who have seen success. Don't do anything that you would regret later.
Ego - Many say life is just easier without an ego!
Regret - Don' regret a thing.
Rewards - If we do a good job, good results should typically follow, but if they don't you won't fall far from it. And as per some scriptures, we have control over our actions, not the results.
Hope you like the tips shared here and they are able to make some difference in your life. Cheers to all my hardworking friends.🥂
